Pranab Mukherjee Former Indian President Passed Away At Age 84

Pranab Mukherjee, one of the admired politicians of Indian politics, a Congress veteran, Bharat Ratna awardee, the former President of India, gave up his last breath. He has died at the age of 84 on Monday evening. 

His son Abhijit Mukherjee informed about the demise of the former President. His son Abhijit Mukherjee tweeted. “With a Heavy Heart, this is to inform you that my father Shri Pranab Mukherjee has just passed away in spite of the best efforts of Doctors of RR Hospital & prayer,duas & prarthanas from people throughout India! I thank all of You ” 

He was ill for the past several days and was admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital on 10th August in Delhi. He was undergoing surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain, which he had suffered after a fall at his Rajaji Marg house. After that, he developed a lung infection and had renal dysfunction. 

He was in a deep coma and on ventilator support for the past 21 days. He was found to be CVID-19 positive. There has been no development in his health situation since then. 

Pranab Mukherjee has selected as the 13th President of the country on the 26 June 2012, till 25 July 2017 he handled the responsibility as the President of India. He was awarded the highest civilian award of the Republic of India, Bharat Ratna on 25 January 2019.

Current President of India, Mr. Ram Nath Kovind showed about gesture and tweeted “:पूर्व राष्ट्रपति, श्री प्रणब मुखर्जी के स्वर्गवास के बारे में सुनकर हृदय को आघात पहुंचा। उनका देहावसान एक युग की समाप्ति है। श्री प्रणब मुखर्जी के परिवार, मित्र-जनों और सभी देशवासियों के प्रति मैं गहन शोक-संवेदना व्यक्त करता हूँ।” Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Singh Modi also tweeted “India grieves the passing away of Bharat Ratna Shri Pranab Mukherjee. He has left an indelible mark on the development trajectory of our nation. A scholar par excellence, a towering statesman, he was admired across the political spectrum and by all sections of society.”
